The pre-war Manila movie tells the story of two sisters struggling to make ends meet after their painter father falls ill and fails to produce art — its theme of overcoming ravaging poverty remains unfortunately relatable even today. Star Cinema&#x27;s &quot;Seven Sundays&quot; was the next big winner with three awards, earning best screenplay and editing to go with a best actor win for one of its lead stars, Aga Muhlach.Santos-Concio, who made a successful comeback to the big screen with Lav Diaz&#x27;s &quot;Ang Babaeng Humayo,&quot; could not attend the Luna Awards, which was held at the same time as the Kapamilya network&#x27;s ABS-CBN Ball.
