'I'm OK': Neri Naig reacts to criticisms to P1,000 meal plan

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img alt="Photo from Neri Naig" s="" Instagram="" src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2023/entertainment/10/02/20231001-neri.jpg"/><figcaption><em>Photo from Neri Naig&#x27;s Instagram account.</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA — Actress and former &quot;Star Circle Quest&quot; contestant Neri Naig chooses to stay positive amid the criticism she faced for her P1,000 meal plan.</p><p>This after some netizens felt that Naig&#x27;s meal plan plan was not attainable.</p><p>In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Naig explained why she posted the P1,000 meal plan.</p><p>&quot;Because open na open naman sa social media, a lot of people naman parang ‘opinyon ko ‘to eh’ so parang, hindi kasi ako nag-fo-focus sa kanila. But okay, kagaya ng sinabi ko sa isang interview medyo old post na ‘yon bago may nilabas sa gobyerno, so they just used it,&quot; Naig said. </p><p>&quot;And before Miggy (her son) pa, ginagawa ko na ‘yong meal plans, and marami namang mga followers ko na alam ‘yong mga sinasabi ko — hindi ko lang nilagay ‘yong disclaimer before because I was just, unang-una, 2:30 a.m. na yata ko ginawa ‘yon kasi nag-Canva-Canva pa ‘ko and all, parang inayos ko talaga siya. Hindi lang ako naglagay ng disclaimer but sa mga old post ko, mayro’n siya,&quot; she added.</p><p>Naig said she is focusing more on her followers who appreciate her and learn from her tips.</p><p>&quot;Regarding sa mga negative na sinasabi sa ’kin, you know what, ang dami-dami nang sinabi sa ’kin, ang dami nang binato sa ’kin, ang dami nang memes or ang daming mga negative ano, but I’m still here, I’m okay. And naka-focus kasi ako sa mga followers ko na natutulungan ko... Kagaya nga ng tinatanong mo paano na-ba-budget, paano na-ma-manage ‘yong oras namin bilang wife, bilang mommy, and bilang negosyante. So, do’n lang ako naka-focus. Kung tatanungin, I’m okay,&quot; Naig said.</p><p>&quot;Sa lahat naman ng mga taong naniniwala sa ’kin, sobrang thankful and hindi ko alam na sobrang laki pala niya. Nakaka-receive lang ako ng mga messages, ayoko na banggitin kung sino ‘yong mga tao na parang ‘nag-chat sa ’kin si ganito’, parang bakit ka mine-message? Parang nagulat lang ako na gano’ng siya kalaki, ‘yong concern ng mga tao. People who understand, and people who follow my social media, alam nila kung ano ‘yong ginagawa ko,&quot; she added.</p><p>Naig also shared the wise words her husband Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda said to her: &quot;They understand, and sobrang heartwarming na sabihin na natin ‘yong sinasabi ni Chito na ‘cruel world’ but at the end of the day you need ‘to mag-focus sa mga taong who support you, and sa mga tao na naniniwala sa ’yo, ‘yong positive lang. </p><p>&quot;Wala naman nang nagtatanong sa akin, hindi na ako sumagot. Hinahayaan ko lang ‘yong asawa ko do’n kasi syempre, trabaho niya in a way na ipagtanggol ako pero we’re okay,&quot; she added.</p><p>Naig still expressed her gratitude to her fans for their support.</p><p>&quot;I’m so happy na maraming nakaka-appreciate sa akin bilang mommy, bilang negosyante, bilang maybahay — homemaker. Nakakatuwa kasi nag-fo-focus kami sa community na nagtutulungan ‘yong mga kababaihan,&quot; she said. </p><p>&quot;Do’n ako nakafocus eh. If ever mayro’n akong ginagawang negosyo, iniisip ko kung paano tayo mas makakatulong.
