And among those who agree with her is her husband&#x27;s ex-wife, Michelle van Eimeren, who told her: &quot;Don&#x27;t allow these negative people to diminish in any way this new chapter in your life.&quot; The Australian beauty queen described Velasquez&#x27;s critics as &quot;small-minded people&quot; and that it is for the best if she just ignores the &quot;awful&quot; and &quot;hurtful&quot; words thrown at her for her decision. &quot;You are a beautiful soul, Regine,&quot; Van Eimeren wrote. &quot;There is a great deal more for you to offer this world. Van Eimeren&#x27;s encouraging words came after Velasquez found herself penning a note in response to the &quot;hate&quot; she received, and the threat from her past supporters to boycott her new shows.
