<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/news/11/07/baby1.jpg"/><figcaption>Heavy metal legend Iron Maiden, fronted by Bruce Dickinson, is coming to Manila for the first time. <em>Instagram: @ironmaiden</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA — The country&#x27;s largest heavy metal festival, Pulp Summer Slam, has announced its headliner for its 2020 edition. </p><p>No less than a legend of the genre, Iron Maiden, will be bringing to Manila its &quot;Legacy of the Beast&quot; tour, which has been described as their <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/iron-maiden-2019-tour-754033/">most extravagant and most eye-popping show to date</a>. </p><p>And that&#x27;s saying something considering the decades-spanning career of the British heavy metal heroes, which stems back to their first chart-topping album, 1982&#x27;s &quot;The Number of the Beast.&quot; </p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/SeeYouAtTheSLAM/posts/2972186646143893" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Pulp Summer Slam 2020, scheduled on May 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena, marks the first time Iron Maiden will perform in Manila. </p><p>The lineup also includes power metal icons Dragonforce and Japan&#x27;s kawaii-metal pioneers BABYMETAL, both of which recently released new albums, &quot;Extreme Power Metal&quot; and &quot;Metal Galaxy,&quot; respectively. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/news/11/07/baby2.jpg"/><figcaption>Japan&#x27;s BABYMETAL, which mixes sugarcoated J-pop with heavy metal sounds, is performing in Manila for the first time. The setlist, according to reviews online, usually contains a large selection of their &#x27;80s hits and songs from their later albums. </p>
