MANILA -- Liza Soberano was caught by surprise when she was asked about rumors that she might be doing a TV series with "Ang Probinsyano" star Coco Martin.

In an interview on Thursday before flying to South Korea to shoot scenes for her upcoming movie "My Ex And Whys" with love team partner Enrique Gil, Soberano said she sees nothing wrong with working with Martin.

"I'm willing to work, of course. Si Coco, he is a good actor," she said.

For his part, Gil said he is looking forward if ever her planned movie with veteran actress Sharon Cuneta pushes through.

I am excited if ever there's concept or if ever na matuloy din talaga. I would love to work with her," Gil said.

In the meantime, Soberano and Gil are excited about their new movie, which is being eyed to be released in theaters in 2017.

"It's a very light movie. It's a movie where you will fall in love all over again," Soberano said.

In the movie, Gil plays Gio, a former playboy, while Soberano is his ex Cali, a blogger who's afraid to fall in love for fear of being hurt again.

"Very modern and character ko at ako 'yung person na takot to fall in love, scared to fall again kasi I'm scared to get hurt again," Soberano said.

They also promised their fans that they will see a more mature LizQuen in the movie which will be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina.

"Para sa akin mas mature 'yung relationship ng character namin kapag ikaw pinanood mo feeling ko makaka-relate ka," he said.
