which is about a tough-talking gang leader forced to take care of his orphaned nephews with the loud, gay friend of his late sister-in-law, took in P68 million Wednesday, becoming the most successful debut of any Star Cinema film this year. </p><p>&quot;The Super Parental Guardians&quot; also surpassed John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo&#x27;s &quot;A Second Chance,&quot; which drew in P43.3 million on its opening day in November last year, as well as the reported P60.5 million first day salvo of &quot;My Bebe Love,&quot; a 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry. </p><p>It remains unclear, however, whether the film defeated that of &quot;Beauty and the Bestie&quot; as Star Cinema did not make the claim in their post on their Instagram page, only hinting that the P68 million gross of &quot;The Super Parental Guardians&quot; instead of whether they will sell tickets.</p><p>Vice Ganda has repeatedly said that he wasn&#x27;t offended by the decision, and hoped that fans would support his film, as well as the chosen entries to the annual film festival.</p>
