OPM hitmaker and &quot;Dilaw&quot; singer Maki surprised fans last Saturday when he appeared onstage at LANY&#x27;s sold-out concert at the Philippine Arena.Maki shared the stage with LANY frontman Paul Klein and sang one of the band&#x27;s newest songs &quot;Out of My League.&quot;Speaking exclusively to ABS-CBN News, Maki said he was completely surprised when they got the invitation from the concert promoter.He added that the original plan was just to do a front act for the band, but things changed midway and he was instead asked to sing with LANY.&quot;Sobrang crazy! Up to now, hindi ko siya ma-grasp sa utak ko. But I&#x27;m really, really so grateful to be able to get this opportunity for someone like me na rising pa lang,&quot; he said.Maki revealed that he has been a fan of LANY but had to brush up on the new singles.  &quot;I&#x27;ve been a fan for years. Although sa latest release medyo hindi na ako familiar kasi ang daming nangyayari sa OPM, so mas in-immerse ko sarili ko sa OPM. When I got the news nga, sabi ko &#x27;Oh my god, kailangan kong alamin lahat ito!&#x27;&quot;He also shared that this is a full circle moment — sharing the stage with one of his musical influences.  &quot;Kumbaga, bumalik ako doon sa 2015-2016 self ko. Na-realize ko na ang dami ko ring influence na nakuha from LANY sa mga music na ginagawa ko ngayon.&quot;This is my first international collaboration concert. To be able to perform with the people that influenced me sa music, sobrang crazy nu&#x27;n, sobrang wild,&quot; he said.Seconds before hitting the stage, his nerves were all over the place.  &quot;Nanginginig po ako sobra, kung alam niyo lang! Philippine Arena was so massive. Para ka na lang nalulunod sa ilaw. I tried to affirm myself na I deserve this stage, to be able to share the stage with LANY,&quot; Maki said.&quot;I never would have thought that I will experience such heartwarming moment.&quot;And if singing the stage with LANY wasn&#x27;t enough, Klein played Maki&#x27;s hit &quot;Dilaw.&quot; They also shared moments backstage and during the pre-show rehearsals.&quot;Hindi ako makapaniwala na pinakinggan nila yung &#x27;Dilaw,&#x27; &#x27;yung buong song... Sinabihan ako ni Paul na, &#x27;The song is really good.&#x27; Kahit Tagalog siya, na-appreciate nila &#x27;yung music. Sa akin talaga, it has no barriers. OPM we can thrive using our own language. I&#x27;m just really happy na I&#x27;m slowly getting there.&quot;Sabi nga nila, &#x27;Aalayo pa, pero malayo na.&#x27;&quot;
