Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/FileMANILA -- The members of BINI drew strength from their training to overcome the technical glitches that occurred during their performance at the Billboard Philippines anniversary event on Tuesday night.

The Nation's Girl Group sang acapella when the music went off during their performance of "Cherry on Top."

"Noong part ko na 'My presence is a present,' biglang nawala," recalled Stacey. "Akala ko, ako lang [ang nakarinig]. Kinabahan ako nang kaunti. Baka mamaya, ako lang 'to. Paano ako magki-keep up?"

"Tapos, tumitingin ako sa ibang girls -- parang na-stop na siya. Buti na lang, merong adlib ko. Parang nag-adlib na lang din, parang nag-go with the flow na lang din po kami talaga," she added.

They pushed through with their performance despite the technical issues, with the crowd cheering for them and singing along.

"Hindi naman po talaga maiiwasan yung mga ganitong technical difficulties. Lalo na po sa mga artists, hindi po maiiwasan yun," said Stacey.

"We were trained din naman ng mga ganitong chances talaga," added BINI leader Jhoanna. "Kailangan mo na lang talagang magpaka-professional kasi maraming naghintay sa'yo, 'di ba?"

"Bumawi na lang po kami noong bumalik 'yung music."

Sheena admitted that she panicked slightly when the music was cut off, but it helped their confidence when the crowd started singing along.

"Thank you so much, Blooms at sa ibang tao na nakisabay sa amin. Actually, noong narining ko, nag-panic talaga ako. 'Oh my gosh, namatay!'," she said. "Pero noong nag-forward na kami… Tapos sumasabay na sila. Naiyak ako slight, pero hindi kita."

"We're so happy na sinuportahan kami ng lahat at naki-kanta sila," she added.

They went on to perform a mashup of "Cherry on Top" and the mega-hit "Pantropiko," and the technical glitch fired them up during the dance break of their biggest hit.

"Doon na lang po namin binawi, kasi siyempre, hindi naging perfect na live," said Maloi. "Ine-expect namin na magiging smooth 'yung performance. Pero 'yun nga, nagkaroon ng difficulty, kaya bumawi na lang kami sa mga dance breaks, at sumunod na prod namin."

Aside from BINI, SB19 also encountered technical glitches during their own performance at the Billboard Philippines event. 

In a statement released later in the day, Billboard Philippines said that all parties "have agreed to move forward with a positive outlook, focused on further elevating Filipino talent and music on the global stage."

Meanwhile, BINI is also preparing intensely for Grand BINIverse, their three-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum in November. 

"Hindi pa po kami super nakaka-focus, pero pag nag-rehearse po kami, literal na ten to ten -- 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.," said Jhoanna, while refusing to give away any spoilers for the show.

"Bukas po, may training kami, so hopefully, baka makausad kami nang mahaba-haba," she added.

The three-night Grand BINIverse takes place on November 16-18 at the Big Dome.

BINI was also unveiled as the newest endorser for a clothing brand on Wednesday night, where they performed the song "Be Your Own Icon," composed by Nameless Kids frontman Nikko Sabio.
