Nina feels blessed to have David Pomeranz as concert guest

MANILA -- Booked, busy, and blessed.

Before her birthday concert "Love, Nina" on October 30 at The Theatre at Solaire, singer Nina held a press conference in Quezon City to announce her guest list, which includes American singer-songwriter David Pomeranz.

Praising and thanking the hitmaker, Nina told ABS-CBN News, “Siyempre, international artist ‘yan, although nakasama ko na siya sa ibang shows namin like sa US. Sobrang bait niyang tao. Ang dami niyang hit songs pero kapag nakasama mo siya sa shows, hindi na niya ipapamukha sa ’yo na mas mataas siya. For him, we’re both artists and we should work together, at wala dapat awkwardness.”

The Asia's Diamond Soul Siren, who is turning 43, considers herself blessed to be able to continue doing what she enjoys most: performing. Her concert last year was a success with John Prats as director, and she just returned to the musical variety show "ASAP."

Reflecting on her journey, Nina shared, “Looking back, okay sa akin na na-experience ko ‘yung discrimination. Sinasabihan ka na walang mararating. Nakakatuwa na looking back sa sarili ko kahit papaano may maa-achieve ka kapag nagpursigi ka,” she shared

Nina also talked about her blessings, “Aside from awards, probably the fans who are supporting me, who still support me. They are the greatest blessings. Andiyan pa rin sila. Sila ‘yung nagbibigay ng strength.”

“Nakakatuwa. Every time na may nararamdaman sila sa kanilang buhay na happiness, sadness, excitement, ako ‘yung naiisip nilang go-to music. Kahit na nakatandaan na nila ‘yung songs ko, shine-share naman nila sa mga anak nila,” she added. 

According to the singer, this concert is very important to her, and she revealed during the press conference what the vibe will be like at the concert.

“It has the same Nina vibe. We’re gonna talk about my life from start to finish. May life vibe. I’ll be singing a few songs na talagang nire-request sa akin na first time kong kakantahin sa concert,” she told ABS-CBN News. 

When asked what her birthday wish was, Nina replied: “Happiness lang talaga and stress-free life for everyone. Live the moment. Not worry about the future.”

The public has rated her as one of the top female vocalists in the country, as she sings and whistles while dressed in her trademark sexy outfits.

Her thoughts on that? “Being content and happy with what you have now and not worrying about the future and looking back at the past. Kapag iisipin mo kung ano ang magiging itsura, masisira lang ang ulo mo. Just enjoy the moment.”
