MANILA — Actor Joshua Garcia will remain a Kapamilya as he inked a new contract with ABS-CBN.

During the ceremony on Wednesday, the actor got messages from his family -- Fr. Gerry Garcia, Felly Garcia, and Fe Espineli -- along with Julia Barretto, Anne Curtis, Olivia Lamasan, Petersen Vargas, Mico del Rosario, and Kriz Gazmen.

"Not once did I hear him complain about being tired, wala akong narinig na ni isang complain and it goes to show how much he loves what he does and how much hard work he will put into his craft because that's how much he loves it. I am so proud to have witnessed your growth as an actor and even as a person," Barretto said.

Garcia expressed his gratitude to all the people who have supported him in his journey.

I love you all," she added.

Garcia rose to fame as a housemate in "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" in 2014.

His latest project was the box-office hit "Un/Happy For You" with ex-girlfriend Barretto.

Garcia is set to star in the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" with Anne Curtis and Carlo Aquino.
