MANILA -- Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil on Thursday reiterated that he and Liza Soberano are still together.

According to Gil, they are just "super busy" with their individual projects.

Gil is currently promoting his upcoming movie "I Am Not Big Bird," while Soberano is also busy with her movie "Lisa Frankenstein."

Gil also said that they are at a point where they realized how much they can grow doing things on their own.

"I think we just, you know, realized na in life, parang we shouldn't always be centered around each other... We can do more, grow more... and we can achieve more. And it just makes us better," Gil said in an interview with ABS-CBN's Gretchen Fullido.

"I Am Not Big Bird" opens in Philippine theaters on February 14.

Gil and Soberano, also known as LizQuen, rose to fame as a love team with their hit teleserye "Forevermore" in 2014. They also worked together in "Dolce Amore" in 2016, "Bagani" in 2018, and were last seen as a screen couple in "Make It with You" in 2020.

On the big screen, they co-starred in "She's The One" in 2013 followed by "Just The Way You Are" and "Everyday I Love You" in 2015, "My Ex and Whys" in 2017, and "Alone/Together" in 2019.

Rumors that the two have called it quits have been circulating since 2023, when Soberano's former talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed that the two have broken up.
