In the first episode, the 11 queens were tasked to showcase their talent in a variety show. Marina chose to have her own rendition of &quot;Amakabogera&quot; by Maymay Entrata matched with a fire dance-like performance. &quot;I&#x27;m just so excited to put on a great show. We may speak different languages, we may come from different places, but drag is our language and we share that,&quot; Marina said. &quot;Marina makes me nervous because this is the best goddamn performance I&#x27;ve ever seen on the main stage of &#x27;RuPaul&#x27;s Drag Race&#x27;,&quot; Choriza May said after her performance. On the runway, the were tasked to bring their hometown looks with Marina paying homage to the farmers in Banaue Rice Terraces. &quot;Bringing my Filipina heritage and culture to the main stage, I feel very, very proud. I have this basket which is carrying sticky rice,&quot; Marina said. &quot;I grew up surrounded by farmers and to be wearing this in front of the whole world gives me so much joy and pride,&quot; she added. During the judges critiques, the judges enjoyed Marina&#x27;s performance stressing that they loved her energy. &quot;I loved your performance in the variety show. There was so much energy there, the empowering lyrics. It was just wonderful to see,&quot; Alan Carr said. &quot;Those shoes that you performed in are one of the most difficult types of shoes to perform in. So, I don&#x27;t know if I should applaud you or yell at you,&quot; Michelle Visage added. Carr and RuPaul also applauded for Marina for representing the Philippines well with her performance in the episode. &quot;And I like this look on you. You had the full of what is it reed or ... rice ... that&#x27;s rice? No way? Not only are you beautiful, you&#x27;re also educational,&quot; Carr said. &quot;This is inspired by the Banaue Rice Terraces in the Philippines,&quot; Marina said. &quot;Very glamorous farmers,&quot; RuPaul said. &quot;They don&#x27;t only serve rice, they also serve looks,&quot; Marina replied. &quot;Well, you&#x27;ve represented your country beautifully,&quot; Rupaul ended. Marina was in the Top 2 with France&#x27;s La Grande Dame, while Gothy Kendoll and Mayhem Miller landed in the bottom 2. During the deliberations, Marina felt more compelled to save Gothy. &quot;Gothy sadly went home on her first episode and I don&#x27;t want to be the girl to send her home the first time again but I understood what the judges said,&quot; Marina said. &quot;She&#x27;s still a little bit nervous. I mean, girl, now is not the right time to find your confidence because this is the world stage, baby,&quot; she said. In the lipsync battle, the Top 2 queens had to perform &quot;Dreamer&quot; by Livin&#x27; Joy with Marina winning the first episode. She sent home Mayhem Miller in 11th place. &quot;The queen that I&#x27;ve chosen is someone I look up to from afar and I&#x27;ve always been a fan and a supporter of this queen. And it breaks my heart and the queen that I&#x27;m sending home is Mayhem,&quot; she said. Marina is the first drag queen from the Philippine franchise to compete in an international edition of the hit reality competition.
