South Korean pop sensation IU made her much-awaited comeback on Tuesday, releasing her sixth extended play (EP) &quot;The Winning.&quot;</p><p>The 30-year-old singer-songwriter unveiled the five-track EP alongside the music video for its lead single &quot;Shopper.&quot;</p><p>The five-minute video tells the tale of a shop with &quot;extraordinary items&quot; and seems to suggest that the shopkeeper, played by IU, stole the items.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kHW-UVXOcLU?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>Singer DPR Ian makes an appearance in the video, which he also directed and edited.</p><p>As of writing, the hashtag #IU_TheWinning_NowOpen topped the list of Philippine trends on X as fans expressed excitement over the release.</p><p>&quot;The Winning&quot; marks IU&#x27;s first new release in over two years, following &quot;Pieces&quot; from November 2021.</p><p>In January, IU dropped the pre-release single &quot;Love Wins All,&quot; which drew attention for its video featuring V of K-pop boy group BTS.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/01/24/24/watch-bts-v-joins-iu-in-dramatic-love-wins-all-music-video">WATCH: BTS&#x27; V joins IU in dramatic &#x27;Love Wins All&#x27; music video</a></div><p>Days before the comeback, IU also put out a video for the song &quot;Holssi,&quot; which features Tweety Bird after the singer entered a collaboration with the &quot;Looney Tunes&quot; cartoon franchise.</p><p>The EP also includes &quot;Shh..&quot; featuring Hyein of rising girl group NewJeans and Wonsun Joe with special narration from veteran singer Patti Kim; and &quot;I stan U.&quot;</p><p>In March, the singer born Lee Ji-eun is set to kick off her &quot;H.E.R.&quot; world tour with a two-day concert in Seoul.
