The Filipino-Canadian actor "bends" the heroic and fearless master of elements in the story considered by fans as one of the most popular animated series of all time.

"As a young actor, it feels pretty great," said Cormier on being an inspiration to others at an early age. "But as a Filipino, it's amazing because I think I'm one of the first Filipino child actors to have a lead role."

While filming the show in 2022, the actor did interviews with international press for the first time, where he exhibited his boundless energy, much like his character Aang.

"[In the] first three to four days, we were just chilling, relaxing, easing into it," Cormier recalled. "But after that, we got serious. You have to learn as much as you can in these week and a half because you have to become a Wushu master in one month."

The young actor also shared that training for the series involved learning a bit of Wushu, Tai Chi, and Kung Fu.
