<p>MANILA -- Actor JC de Vera is starring in a new movie with Japanese actress Sakura Akiyoshi.</p><p>The film &quot;Apo Hapon: A Love Story&quot; will hit cinemas nationwide on March 6.</p><p>Directed by Joel Lamangan, &quot;Apo Hapon&quot; is &quot;a captivating period romantic drama set against the picturesque backdrop of the Cordillera region.&quot;</p><p>It follows the story of a Japanese vlogger (Akiyoshi), who goes to Benguet with a local historian (de Vera) in search of her great grandfather&#x27;s untold story.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WlZV3XFbttY?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>&quot;Mapapanood niyo na po ang aming napakagandang pelikulang ipapalabas ngayong March 6 sa inyong mga paboritong sinehan nationwide,&quot; de Vera shared in a previous guesting on &quot;It&#x27;s Showtime.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Isa po itong kakaibang love story na nangyari noong Japanese era.
