Showbiz nagpalaki sa amin. My mom works so hard para lang ma-get niya &#x27;yung dream niya, maging what they call an icon now. She doesn&#x27;t sleep; she is always there,” daughter Bree Baun-Strahan said.</p><p>Baun was known for raising the bar when it comes to make-up and prosthetics during the &#x27;80s until 2000s.</p><p>She made a mark in several iconic films such as “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” “Darna,” and “Oro, Plata, Mata.&quot;  </p><p>“I am very proud of mommy. She has that brain. When she has a project, she works on that. She has a talent inside her,” Baun-Strahan explained.</p><p>According to the daughter, they had what they call a &quot;laboratory” at their home where Baun would experiment with make-up and prosthetics, at times with the help of her children.</p><p>“We have a laboratory where we would all work together. We were exposed. She exposed it to us so we all had an idea how it works,” Baun-Starahan recalled.</p><p>Baun was also admired for bringing Filipino talent to international audiences after working as a visual effects artist on several Hollywood films shot in the country.</p><p>&quot;I am so proud of mommy. Nakilala siya for her work, passion and talent when she did not even go to school. It was just her. Even the international movies were so proud of her. It is amazing,&quot; her daughter said.</p><p>Baun’s love for her craft was only surpassed by her affection for her family. Beyond being an industry pillar, her family said they will remember Baun for the boundless compassion of her heart.</p><p>“That&#x27;s why I said it’s unconditional love. Ever since I can remember, she is even to everybody, cousins, all my relatives, the grandkids.
