Cristine Reyes opens up about her biological father

<p>MANILA -- Actress Cristine Reyes opened up about her relationship with her biological father, a Muslim from Tawi-Tawi.</p><p>In the newest vlog of ABS-CBN News&#x27; Karen Davila, Reyes said she got to see her father before he passed away during pandemic. </p><p>&quot;He&#x27;s from Tawi-Tawi, he&#x27;s a Muslim. He passed already. Two years ago that was the time before I did the Marcos film &#x27;Maid in Malacañang.&#x27;  I went to Zamboanga because he&#x27;s dying. Then he died. That&#x27;s when I decided to shut everybody out in the family. The fact na hindi siya humingi ng tulong sa akin, mas masakit because I remember the last time I spoke to him that was pandemic time and I was very angry pa that time. Sabi ko sa kanya, &#x27;Bakit ngayon ka lang nagpakita sa akin? All my life I needed you,&#x27;&quot; Reyes said.</p><p>&quot;Noong time pala na kinakausap ko siya noong pandemic and I was nagsusumbat sa kanya, he was already suffering. That&#x27;s why  he did not ask any help from me,&quot; Reyes said.</p><p>The actress added that she found out that for the longest time her father was looking for her.</p><p>&quot;I found out when he died and all along I thought he wasn&#x27;t looking for me,&quot; Reyes said.</p><p>The actress said that before her father passed away, she got to hug him, cried and apologized.</p><p>&quot;It was so timely, when I did that, day in day out ako sa Zamboanga. I left. Pag-land ng Manila I received the message, wala na raw. So parang nagpaalam lang talaga ako. Malaki ang impact noon sa akin all my life. I&#x27;m 35, that was two years ago.
