Two Filipino talents were officially launched in the K-pop industry on Wednesday as girl group UNIS debuted with its first extended play (EP).

Filipinos Elisia Parmisano and Gehlee Dangca are among the eight members that comprise UNIS, formed through the reality competition series "Universe Ticket" that aired from November to January this year.

The multinational team also includes Filipino-Korean Jin Hyeonju (who previously debuted as Belle in the K-pop girl group cignature); Koreans members Yunha, Seowon and Yoona; and Japanese members Nana and Kotoko.

The EP "WE UNIS" contains five tracks, with "Superwoman" serving as the lead single and getting a music video that dropped alongside the record.

UNIS is expected to promote for two and a half years under F&F Entertainment, which co-produced "Universe Ticket" with Korean broadcaster SBS, according to reports.
