ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA -- Actor Pepe Herrera shared his excitement about his upcoming comedy-horror film &quot;Bantay-Bahay.&quot; &quot;Sobrang saya. Ang tagal naming hinintay eh. Nasa isip namin palagi kailan kaya ipapalabas. So ito finally ipapalabas na. I&#x27;m just very grateful na maibabahagi na namin &#x27;yung gawa naming pelikula,” Herrera said during a press conference held on Monday, April 29.(We&#x27;ve been waiting for this for so long, always wondering when it will be released. Finally, it will be shown, and I&#x27;m just very grateful that we can now share our film.&quot;) The movie was filmed back in 2021 when pandemic protocols were still stringent.Herrera also mentioned his desire to collaborate with film director Jose Javier &quot;Joey&quot; Reyes once again, praising the director&#x27;s professionalism and the smooth shooting process. “Looking forward ako na makatrabaho siya ulit kasi paulit-ulit kong sasabihin the best system that I’ve experienced so far na hopeful ako na madaming conpanies na mag-a-apply ng sistema. Pre-prod is everything. Pag matino ang pre-prod mo, smooth sailing na lahat,” he said.(&quot;I am looking forward to working with him again because I always say it&#x27;s the best system that I&#x27;ve experienced so far. I am hopeful that many companies will apply the system. Pre-production is everything. If your pre-production is organized, everything else will be smooth sailing.&quot;)The actor also revealed his admiration for the late king of comedy, Dolphy, whom he considers his idol in the industry. Looking ahead, Herrera expressed his interest in working with comedian Empoy in a comedy film. &quot;Si Empoy hindi ko pa pala nakakatrabaho sa isang pelikula. I would like to do a comedy film na sama-sama kami mga komedyante,” he said.(I haven&#x27;t had the chance to work with Empoy in a movie yet. I would like to do a comedy film where all of us comedians can work together.&quot;&quot;Bantay-Bahay&quot; follows a vlogger and podcaster named Caleb (Herrera) who agrees to house-sit for his girlfriend&#x27;s grandmother&#x27;s rural home at her request. Little does Caleb know, the house is not only secluded but also holds a dark past that has been carefully kept hidden as a secret.Joining Herrera in the cast are Casie Banks, Johannes Rissler, Melizza Jimenez, Karl Gabriel, and Rolando Inocencio.&quot;Bantay-Bahay&quot; will be released in theaters on May 1.
