G-Force founder and CEO Georcelle Dapat-Sy is booked and busy this month as they launch the annual G-Force Project 2024.

Now on its 17th year, the country’s premiere dance group is once again opening its doors to aspiring dancers. Georcelle proudly shared with ABS-CBN News how her dancers have become staple choreographers and trainers not just to budding dancers but also to celebrities.

"Some of them nagiging artista, some of them nagiging influencers. They see us in 'ASAP' and other TV shows and concerts they would want to be trained by the same trainers of the celebrities that they see on TV," she said.

But Georcelle admits, her team and her life were redirected after that professional and friendship breakup with her then dance muse, Sarah Geronimo. Georcelle choreographed some of Sarah's iconic dance moves like in the mega hit "Tala."

Exactly a year ago, Sarah and Georcelle parted ways after 16 years of working together for concerts, live events, and music video materials. The alleged rift was because of the tension between Georcelle and concert director Paolo Valenciano.

A year later, how is Georcelle?

"I'm okay. I think this is, di ba 'pag may nangyayari sa buhay mo na transition or challenges or a bit of uga, iniisip ko palagi na catalyst siya for change. Catalyst siya that I am forced to change. That transition is being felt now, of course I have prepared my team for that," she said.

She admits she and her whole team were shaken by the break up.

"Nauga. And it's normal. Pag nauga ka, same thing with dance. Dance is a good metaphor for life," she said. said Georcelle.

But does she believe that their friendship can be repaired?

"In time. I am praying for it. I am praying for a lot things," she said.

Since their break-up, Georcelle has not spoken to Sarah nor bumped into her in showbiz events or gatherings.

"We spoke before her concert. It was a heart-to-heart talk. Then after that, the concert happened. That whole thing happened. Mahirap kasi pag marami nang involved," she said.

Right now, Georcelle and her team are focused on the G-Force Dance Project 2024 that will commence this whole month of June, in four batches. Participants will have the chance to showcase their skills during a dance concert in July.

G-Force is also opening doors to young kids ages 3-4 years old with their parents. Soon, the group will open a branch in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig to cater to the working and older demographic.
