MANILA  -- Actor Kyle Echarri shared his excitement for the upcoming Kapamilya series "Pamilya Sagrado."

In an interview on Wednesday, Echarri believes that the series will capture the audience's heart with its offbeat story which will tackle social issues including corruption and fraternities.

"Super excited po. Tulad ng sinabi niyo, matagal na rin po talaga itong show na 'to. Si Sir Deo (Endrinal) pa po talaga ang nag-pitch sa akin ng show na ito and I knew sa story niya, talagang aabangan ng mga tao," he said in an interview.

Having done mostly light roles in his previous Kapamilya projects, Echarri considers his character here as the most challenging yet.

"Hundred percent po this the most challenging, I think most life-changing for me, kung paano ako nakapag-connect kay Moises, kung paano niya ako tinuruan for the past couple of months, tinuruan kung paano magmahal and manindigan and kung paano magtiwala and it's been a ride. It's been such a journey for me, si Moises, pero sobra po akong nag-e-enjoy,"  he said.

Aside from Echarri, "Pamilya Sagrado" also stars Grae Fernandez and Piolo Pascual. They will be joined by Joel Torre, Shaina Magdayao, Mylene Dizon, Aiko Melendez, John Arcilla, Rosanna Roces, and Tirso Cruz III.

Directed by Lawrence Fajardo and Andoy Ranay, "Pamilya Sagrado" will air on weekdays, starting June 17, at 8:45 p.m., on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, Jeepney TV, and TV5.
