MANILA — P-pop girl group BINI expressed their gratitude to the LGBT community for their support in a surprise appearance in a bar in Quezon City early Saturday morning.

With hits such as "Pantropiko" and "Salamin, Salamin" becoming anthems of the LGBT community, BINI's Maloi Ricalde said the support has overwhelmed them.

"Mabuhay ang mga bakla! Thank you, thank you so much sa pagmamahal na binigay niyo sa BINI, grabe 'di namin akalain na ganito 'yung matatanggap namin so abangan niyo po 'yung mga susunod pa naming songs," Ricalde said.

BINI surprised bar goers in Quezon City by joining drag queens Zymba Ding, J Quinn, among others during their "Pantropiko" number.

It was a treat for the queers when BINI also performed their new hit "Salamin, Salamin" for the crowd.

Drag queen Salmo Nella testified that many members of LGBT community are big fans of the nation's girl group and their music.

"Ganito karaming mga bakla ang magmamahal sa inyo, mas marami pa actually, kaya sobrang salamat na nakasama namin kayo tonight," Salmo Nella said.

BINI, composed of Mikha, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Jhoanna and Sheena, has steadily risen in popularity in the past months. They made their debut in 2021 with the single "Born to Win," and are also known for singles such as "Na, Na, Na," "Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi," "Lagi," among others.

Last March, BINI released their extended play "Talaarawan" which featured the viral tracks "Pantropiko" and "Salamin, Salamin." 

They will hold their first solo concert, "BINIverse," on June 28, 29, and 30 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
