Of course, mayroong iyakan but there was that assurance na we went through 12 years of our existence, it has that respect,&quot; he said. </p><p>The actor is also aware of the controversies he needed to face, after he and Chiu parted ways.</p><p>&quot;Ang dami kasing kuwento, especially ‘yun nga ang mahirap sa isang public relationship. And they&#x27;re been there since day one, nung panliligaw pa lang all the way to more than a decade… People come up with all these made of these lies, kung ano man. But, we released our statement na we both decided to part ways,&quot; he explains. </p><p>Without going into the details, Lim revealed that he was not the one who ended their relationship. </p><p>&quot;To be completely honest I wasn&#x27;t the one engaged in the separation, ‘yun lang po siya, it&#x27;s that simple,&quot; he said. &quot;I know they&#x27;re saying na….&quot;</p><p>Asked if he did not initiate the break-up, Lim said: &quot;Yeah, I wasn&#x27;t the one who initiated the breakup.&quot;</p><p>The actor also reacted to the mixed emotions of their supporters, who have backed him and Chiu for more than a decade.</p><p>&quot;I understand why the supporters are angry, I understand why they feel betrayed. Pero masakit rin ‘yun para sa amin,&quot; he said. &quot;They&#x27;re watching us from a distance. Eto kaming dalawa, you know, we have our talks.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Nag-usap kami privately. Hindi na kailangan himayin kung sino ang nag-kulang. I think the length speaks for itself, and &#x27;yung pambabatikos sa akin ng karamihan, I think they should look at it from us … For more than a decade, I never had any … My record is clean, and I am proud of that,&quot; he added.</p><p>&quot;You&#x27;re not gonna see me in places you&#x27;re not supposed to see me, so iyun lang siya. The time speaks for itself.&quot;</p><p>According to Lim, he is also saddened by all the allegations and fake reports that come along after they parted ways.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s just sad na maraming intrigang lumalabas especially against me and I don&#x27;t wanna make it seems like na o bakit ‘yan si Xian ang ingay-ingay ngayon, kung ano ano ang pinagsasabi because may promo ng pelikula. It&#x27;s just a very delicate thing and I do understand why people are upset, but we are okay,&quot; he said.</p><p>Just last Friday, Chiu had broken her silence amid Lim&#x27;s repeated statements about their relationship.</p><p>The Kapamilya actress said: &quot;It ended, the journey was beautiful. Ayaw ko nang maging masama &#x27;yung loob ko. Kasi paulit-ulit na lang.
