<p>MANILA -- Actor Christian Bables has called out the Haven of Angels Memorial Chapels and Crematorium Inc. for their mistreatment and neglect of his beloved dog, Hope, who passed away on June 15. </p><p>In a demand letter released by Calinisan Domino and Beron Law Offices, Bables demanded a public apology from the pet crematorium for their mishandling of the situation.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17185989672308aab11b8-1cd2-4fcc-9682-367be2ec2b70.jfif" style="width:955px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>According to Bables, he immediately contacted the crematorium service upon Hope&#x27;s passing at 5:28 p.m., while he was in Makati and Hope was in Antipolo. The Haven of Angels Memorial Chapels and Crematorium Inc. asked for P1,000 to process Hope&#x27;s remains right away, but ended up picking her up at around 9:30 p.m. The service claimed that the driver went to the wrong address and blamed traffic for the delay.</p><p>On top of the delay, during Hope&#x27;s &quot;viewing,&quot; Bables was devastated to see that his beloved pet had not been properly prepared. Hope had not been tidied up and was carelessly displayed, without any regard for the actor&#x27;s feelings or his dog&#x27;s dignity. Bables emotionally recalled the heartbreaking experience, stating, &quot;Pag dating namin dun si Hope nakabalandra lang dun hindi manlang inayos ang panget sa pakiramdam &#x27;yun kasi last time makikita &#x27;yung someone I dearly love, alam ko hindi lahat maintindihan nararamdaman ko. Pamilya ko kasi &#x27;yun malaki siyang part ng support system ko.” </p><p>The actor is seeking a public apology from the Haven of Angels Memorial Chapels and Crematorium Inc. for their handling of Hope&#x27;s remains and their lack of respect and care for his beloved pet. </p><p>Bables hopes that his demand for accountability will prevent other pet owners from experiencing similar mistreatment in the future. </p><p>“I think its about time to speak up that animals of all kinds and sizes should be treated with enough respect and decency buhay pa man na kasama natin o namayapa na. Alam ko madami ding fur parents makaka intindi ng nararamdaman ko ngayon.
