<p>MANILA -- After a five-year hiatus, actress Jessy Mendiola is back as she inked a contract with ABS-CBN&#x27;s Star Magic on Tuesday, July 2.</p><p>Present during the signing ceremony were ABS-CBN&#x27;s COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi and talent manager Alan Real. </p><p>Before signing the deal, Mendiola, who was accompanied by her husband, actor-host Luis Manzano, admitted feeling nervous.</p><p>&quot;Grabe kinakabahan ako, hindi ko alam kung bakit. Sabi nga niya (Luis), wind beneath his wings, &#x27;di ba? Pero talagang hindi ko ini-expect and I am really, really grateful. Kasi of course si Itay (Dyogi) si Kuya A (Real), si Tita Cory, sila Sir Carlo (Katigbak) parang tinaggap nila ako after a very long time. I think dito naman talaga, this is my home and it feels good to be back. Ngayon &#x27;yung dream naman ni Jessy ang itutuloy ko,&quot; Mendiola said.</p><p>It was last year when Mendiola shared that she is planning to return to work this 2024.</p><p>In a previous interview, she shared her wish to work with her mother-in-law Vilma Santos.
