<p>MANILA -- Jennylyn Mercado and new-found friend Rhea Tan have a lot in common, including their love for family and wellness. </p><p>In their quiet moments, Mercado and Tan find time to reflect on their life while enjoying self-care activities.</p><p>According to the 37-year old actress, she gets inspiration from her family and supporters.</p><p>&quot;Things to be thankful for? Napakarami. &#x27;Yung career ko. &#x27;Yun ang bumuhay sa aming family. Ang family ko. Ang family namin ni Dennis. Ang mga anak namin. Siyempre &#x27;yung mga nagmamahal sa amin, &#x27;yung mga fans. Focus ako sa aming toddler pero siyempre hindi ko pa rin pinapabayaan &#x27;yung two boys namin. Isang 15 and isang 16. Iba-iba na &#x27;yung mga gusto nila sa buhay. Kailangan pantay-pantay pa rin ang trato. Walang magseselos. Ang toddler, hindi siya madaling alagaan. Kailangan mo nang mahabang pasensya. Suwerte ngayon dahil nagte-take ako ng time. Relax muna ako ngayon. Enjoy-in ko muna &#x27;yung baby para makasama niya ako habang bata pa siya at ma-enjoy namin ang isa&#x27;t isa.&quot;</p><p>As an actress whose nature of work relies on her beauty and physical appearance, Mercado shared her thoughts on aging. </p><p>&quot;Noon kasi, nung medyo kabataan ko pa, hindi ako nagwo-worry na parang excited akong tumanda. Pero nung umabot na ako ng mid 30s, parang inisip ko malapit na ako mag-40, paano ito. Pero hindi dapat mag-worry. Basta alam mo paano alagaan ang sarili mo — physically and mentally. Alam mo na &#x27;yung mga taong nasa paligid mo ay tatanggapin ka kahit ano pang itsura mo, kahit ano ka pa, okay lang, walang problema para sa akin,&quot; she said.</p><p>Asked about her self-care activities, she said: &quot;Marami tayong kailangang gawin for self-care. Kailangan natin as much as possible isingit &#x27;yung workout. Nakakatulong &#x27;yan sa pag de-stress. Ako guilty ako diyan na napapabayaan ang sarili lalo na kapag nagkaanak, nagiging busy as housewife tapos ija-juggle mo pati &#x27;yung career so medyo mahirap &#x27;yun para sa aming mga mommy. Para sa akin, importante ang self-love and self-care. &#x27;Wag na &#x27;wag nating papabayaan ang sarili kasi hindi natin maaalagaan &#x27;yung mga mahal natin sa buhay kapag tayo ay hindi fit para gawin natin lahat ng dapat nating gawin.&quot;</p><p>The hands-on mom and dedicated actress also gave an update on her movie with her husband and Sam Milby.</p><p>&quot;Meron kaming lalabas na movie ni Dennis kasama si Sam under CreaZion this year din pero wala pa pong target date pero ngayong taon po &#x27;yan lalabas,&quot; she said during her contract signing with Beautéderm, a beauty brand owned by Tan.</p><p>Tan, for her part, is proud of her age, saying that aging is a privilege. </p><p>&quot;Aging is a privilege. Hindi lahat tumatanda. Ibig sabihin, you&#x27;re alive and blessed. One of the things that you should be grateful for na kailangan mong sabihin na, &#x27;I&#x27;m 43. I&#x27;m happy and blessed.&#x27; Kailangan alagaan mo muna &#x27;yung sarili mo before you take good care of everyone,&quot; she said. </p><p>She continued, &quot;6 years from now, 50 na ako. Dapat lagi tayong maging masaya. Dapat ang problema, hindi tinatambayan.&quot;</p><p>While running her empire, the celebrity entrepreneur also finds time for her children.</p><p>&quot;Dalawa na ang anak ko. Modesty aside I have everything na eh sa age ko na ito. I now have a child in college. I make sure that I can attend their activities. I call the school for their activities.&quot;</p><p>Her advice to young entrepreneurs: &quot;Hindi &#x27;yung money. Hindi &#x27;yung fame. Sabi ko, dapat huwag magbago kasi ang taong makakasalubong mo ay pag-akyat mo &#x27;yun din sa pagbaba mo.
