<p>MANILA -- Bianca Gonzalez, Melai Cantiveros, Robi Domingo, Enchong Dee, and Alexa Ilacad expressed their excitement over the much-awaited return of ABS-CBN&#x27;s hit reality series &quot;Pinoy Big Brother.&quot;</p><p>The five ABS-CBN stars, along with Kim Chiu, will be hosting the upcoming &quot;Gen 11&quot; season of the widely popular reality show.</p><p>In a media conference on Thursday, Gonzalez, Cantiveros, Domingo, Dee and Ilacad shared their thoughts being part of &quot;Pinoy Big Brother,&quot; which is now on its 19th year.</p><p>&quot;I just want to say thank for the support. Imagine tumagal po ang &#x27;PBB&#x27; for 19 years at lahat po kami ay naging bahagi nito. It&#x27;s a give and take relationship between our audience and &#x27;PBB&#x27; team,&quot; Dee said.</div><p>&quot;Ang &#x27;PBB&#x27; kasi parang tradisyon na siya ng Pinoy at nag-iisa lang ang Bahay ni Kuya. So dahil nag-iisa lang siya, 12 lang pinapapasok sa isang year, kumbaga gusto makabisita, makita kung ano ba ang power o emotion na maramdaman mo kapag nasa loob ka ng Bahay ni Kuya,&quot; Cantiveros added.</p><p>Domingo also shared the challenges for them as hosts of the reality show.</p><p>&quot;I have to say that we&#x27;re the last ones to know inside this house sa mga pangyayari. Kasi kami hindi rin namin alam unless ibigay &#x27;yung script. Minsan &#x27;yung final script na naibibigay sa amin so we can report it out on the spot, minsan napapalitan pa. Tulad nang nangyari sa previous editions. Minsan nga &#x27;yung scrupt na ibibigay sa iyo hindi pa &#x27;yon ang totoo, may nakatago So ang daming twist ng &#x27;PBB&#x27; na talagang it&#x27;s challenging at the same time exciting,&quot; Domingo said.  </p><p>&quot;But for this particular season since Gen11 we are playing the idea of &#x27;gen.&#x27; Parang &#x27;yon ang challenge sa akin personally kasi gusto ko malaman kung ano nga ba ang generation ngayon, kung paano gumalaw, paano magsalita, gusto ko  silang intindihan. So that&#x27;s one big challenge and excitement on may part,&quot; Domingo added.</p><p>In the conference, the artists also shared their job as part of &quot;PBB Gen11.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Kami ang magbibigay ng information sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya kung sino ang mga housemates. ... Kami ni Enchong ang mag-partner dito taga-spread kami ng balita rin. At good vibes ang dala namin ni partner,&quot; Cantiveros said.</p><p>&quot;Ako po &#x27;yung GenZ Bestie ni Kuya Online,&quot; Ilacad said.</p><p>&quot;I think ako ang isa sa mga halili kay Ate Bianca every single day and, of course, kapag eviction nights,&quot; Domingo said.</p><p>&quot;Same every weekends we will try our best na maging kumpleto every weekends pero every time na mayroong big announcements, eviction nights, we will really try to be there for each other and for the housemates,&quot; Dee said.</p><p>&quot;Kami ang mga mukhang makikita niyo araw-araw on TV and online,&quot; Gonzalez said.</p><p>It was last April when the show revealed the season&#x27;s title as it announced the audition dates for the aspiring housemates.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/4/17/-pinoy-big-brother-opens-auditions-for-pbb-gen11-1014" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">&#x27;Pinoy Big Brother&#x27; opens auditions for &#x27;PBB Gen11&#x27;</a></div><p>This year a total of 20,157 aspiring housemates participated on ground auditions, while 15,749 submitted their applications via online.</p><p>Among the 35,906 auditionees, the show will be choosing the new batch of &quot;PBB&quot; housemates.</p><p>&quot;Finally &#x27;yung <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">35,000 plus na &#x27;yan, si Kuya at ang kanyang team ay nakahanap ng 67 na naka-shortlist for the final casting,&quot; Gonzalez revealed. </span> </p><p>&quot;Ang galing. Natutuwa ako kasi sa maikling oras na nakasilip ako may galing sa US, sa Mindanao, may galing Visayas, Luzon, so it&#x27;s a good mix talaga,&quot; Gonzalez added.</p><p>It was only last month, when the show confirmed that former celebrity housemate Alexa Ilacad will be part of &quot;PBB Gen11&quot; as one of the hosts.</p><p>&quot;Ang ambag ko po talaga I believe this is set of fresh eyes at maipapalamaas ko rin sa mga tao online ang perspectives ng Gen Z, &#x27;yung values, opinions. And pakiramdam ko dahil during my season mas nag-focus kami online, hopefully I could bring in online audience as well. The show will showcase the journeys of thousand of aspiring housemates and Star Magic hopefuls.
