<p>MANILA -- Sid Lucero and Beauty Gonzalez are the stars of &quot;Outside,&quot; the first Netflix Philippines&#x27; zombie movie.</p><p>A two-minute official trailer of the zombie feature has been uploaded on the YouTube and other social media accounts of Netflix Philippines on Thursday, September 19.</p><p>Directed by Carlo Ledesma, the film will premiere globally on October 17 only on Netflix.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wN2qR_i7IAg?autoplay=1&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>&quot;Outside&quot; tells the story of &quot;a cunning father (Sid Lucero) and a strong-willed mother (Beauty Gonzalez) who take their sons (Marco Masa, Aiden Patdu) to the father&#x27;s idyllic childhood farmhouse to escape a zombie outbreak, but they quickly discover that safety is harder to come by than they thought.&quot; </p><p>Speaking at Netflix APAC Southeast Asia Showcase in Indonesia in June, director Ledesma stressed that &quot;Outside&quot; is more than just a zombie film. He described it as a “terrifying psychological thriller” about the struggles of a family caught in the midst of a zombie pandemic. </p><p>“At its core, it’s a film about a family’s survival,” he added.</p><p>Joining Lucero and Gonzales in the movie are Marco Masa, and Aiden Patdu, with the special participation of Enchong Dee and Joel Torre.</p>
