Solenn Heussaff shares inspiration behind final art piece for latest art exhibit

<p>Solenn Heussaff shared the details of the final art piece she made for her VITA art exhibit.</p><p>On her Instagram page, the actress-painter relayed that she made a painting inspired by Filipino women. &quot;The last work I made to complete VITA. The portrait of a Filipina woman is a highlight piece (&#x27;Polentia&#x27;), framed with exquisite carving made from upcycled Gmelina wood,&quot; she posted.</p><p>The frame paid homage to the wood carvings of Paete, Laguna, reflecting her familial roots in the town. She shared that although she &quot;grew up elsewhere,&quot; her childhood was enriched by the carved creations of renowned local sculptor Fred Baldemor.</p><p>Connecting with his niece, Charming Baldemor, an accomplished carver herself, she collaborated on designing an intricate frame. In this pioneering collaboration, the artists explore nature’s fluidity: its perpetual growth, transformation, and constant flux.&quot;</p><p>&quot;The exhibit examines humans’ deep and complex relationship with nature, perceptions affected by the changing light of day, shifting moods and emotions, infinite individual contexts, and the impact of human agency on the environment,&quot; she added.</p>
