Maris Racal says she 'came clean' to 'ex' before they split

File photo by Anna Cerezo, ABS-CBN News </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA -- Actress Maris Racal confirmed that she told her then-boyfriend Rico Blanco about her and onscreen partner Anthony Jennings&#x27;s brewing attraction, which started last June when she was in a &quot;very dark place.&quot;</p><p>On Friday, December 6, Racal addressed allegations that she was a factor in the breakup of Jennings and his longtime girlfriend. </p><p>Racal started by saying that she was taking accountability and apologized for everything that she had done.</p><p>In her over 14-minute statement, Racal said after sensing that there&#x27;s something developing between her and Jennings, she told her former boyfriend about what was happening.  </p><p>&quot;It all started last June of 2024. I was in a very dark place. I was lonely and I was getting attention from Anthony, the kind of attention that I needed. When I sensed that there was this brewing attraction between Anthony and I, nadala ako sa emotions ko. And I knew that it was wrong. I came clean right away. I told my ex everything and I admitted things to him and then we broke up,&quot;  Racal said.</p><p>&quot;It wasn&#x27;t easy. It was really hard for me to announce the breakup. The reason why I became so emotional during that time because I was holding back the truth, &#x27;yun &#x27;yung totoo. I wasn&#x27;t really able to simmer down. I wasn&#x27;t able reflect on what had happened. I was working everyday for weeks straight, months straight bago nagsimula &#x27;yung madaming trabaho namin.
