It is our job as voters to be more noisy about ‘right namin &#x27;to, right namin na mapanuod kayo.’ Gusto namin marinig more than your jingle, more than your TikTok dance, whatever. What are you about–– we want to know,” she shared.</p><p>“We have to demand this. This is our right. It’s like being in a bad relationship. If you accept it, and you’re okay with it, aren’t you kind of accountable? You have to speak up. We have to reclaim our voice as the voting public,” she added.</p><p>She shared that voters–– especially women–– have to speak louder when it comes to these topics. It’s been less than a hundred years since women in the country were given the right to suffrage. It was only in 1937 when women were given the opportunity to voice out their opinions through their votes.</p><p>“Especially women, yung right to suffrage–– we didn’t really have that all this time but we have it  now so we have to just be loud about it. We have to be comfortable about being loud. Let’s not do the name calling–– ‘bobo kasi yung ibang voters or whatever,’” she continued.</p><p>Karylle then reminded the voters to be mindful about who to vote for in the upcoming elections and not let anyone dictate who they want to vote for.  </p><p> “Let’s educate the voters and make sure that we are all educated… As a voter, you should use your own brain. Discernment, I think, is the word I like. Yung best gift that your parents can give you is your education because you’ll have to learn to think for yourself. Pero, hindi nila pwede ispoon feed na ito yung gagawin mo anak. You have to learn to survive in the world,” she added.</p><p>Apart from voter’s education, Karylle insisted on politicians attending debates.</p><p>“Pero, kailangan rin natin silang marinig. Saan natin sila maririnig kung hindi sila pumupunta sa debate?  We have to demand it,” she asserted. </p>
