<p>During the launch of her first holiday single “When Christmas Comes” last month, singer Geneva Cruz revealed during the press event why she was happier than she’s ever been in a long time.</p><p>“This year is going to be extra special because I opened myself to love once again. I think that’s pretty special because for many years, since 2020, sarado talaga. But now I’m just really happier and grateful. He’s here and I’m very, very proud of him. He inspires me. He inspires me to be better in life here. I’m happier. Yun yung kaibahan ng Christmas ko this year. I’m more inspired. He’s a national athlete. Period. In 2022, I was able to watch his first competition after the pandemic, where he won gold for that edition. :)”</p><p>In the same post, Geneva asked her followers to help support her boyfriend’s upcoming competitions later this year, which includes the SEA games which will be held in Chonburi and Songkhla in Thailand.</p><p>“His upcoming competition is the Jui-Jitsu International Federation Asian Championship, which will take place in Jordan this May. He will also participate in the Southeast Asian Games later this year. The talented singer admitted she knew it was time to love again when she met Dean.</p><p>“Parang mas dumarating kapag hindi mo ini-expect. So ayun (laughs). I’ve been happy single for many years. I’m just happier now, you know. Kahit naman strong tayo, masarap din yung meron kang nasasandalan. Kasi for a long time din I’ve been single. For the past five years I’ve single and I’m just grateful that I have this. Nandito ako sa sa aking strong but soft girl era (laughs). masarap din yung pakiramdam. So I need to get introduced to my feminine side,” she admitted. </p><p>Geneva first married to Introvoys drummer Paco Arespaccochaga in 1995 and they have a son named Heaven. After their marriage was annulled in 2001, Geneva was in a relationship and eventually married actor and DJ KC Montero. They split up in  2012. She also has a daughter named London with previous partner Lee Paulsen. </p><p>At 48 years old, the former Smokey Mountain member said she has always been conscious about her body and appreciates having a partner who understands her need to feel healthy.</p><p>“I used to just focus on being thin in my 20s and 30s. Yung being thin, huwag kumain. Sabi ko hindi masaya yun. Kasi kailangan pag babae ka aware ka sa ganun, kung bakit kaya mas matakaw ako ngayon or walang gana ako ngayon? Dahil sa hormones. Na-realize ko hindi yun maganda. I realized that weightlifting is my cup of tea,” she shared.</p>
