EXCLUSIVE: Rachel Alejandro has her eyes set for her Hollywood dreams: ‘I’d like to think I’m ready’

Singer-actres Rachel Alejandro shared that she is ready to take on Hollywood if given the chance for a TV or movie project. In an exclusive interview with PUSH, the Nasaan Si Hesus star gave an update on how her life has been in the US and her mentality when it comes to auditioning in Hollywood.Rachel is in the country to shoot the religious musical film Nasaan Si Hesus this month alongside several other singer-actors such as Geneva Cruz, Janno Gibbs, Jeffrey Hidalgo, with The Voice Kids’ Gianni Sarita, among others.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/12/20/23/rachel-alejandro-gets-interview-to-become-a-us-citizen">READ: Rachel Alejandro gets interview to become a US citizen</a></div>The actress admitted that it’s been difficult to land a role in Hollywood at her age but it doesn’t stop her from auditioning. She mentioned how Demi Moore–– who recently won her first-ever Golden Globe earlier this week–– became an inspiration for her.“Mahirap pa rin syempre, to really be starting out especially at my age sa Hollywood, as they say. Nashock ako sabi pa ni Demi Moore nung nanalo siya–– imagine at the age of 62 siya nanalo ng award–– pero of course she’s had much success,” she shared.Rachel maintained that age is just a number for her and with Demi’s win, it solidified that saying for her. She claimed that despite being 50 years old, it’s never too late to start a career in Hollywood.“You can always start and nandiyan naman yung you’re ready. I’ve been in the business for almost 40 years na rin. I’d like to think I’m ready,” she added.The Filipino singer-actress added that apart from the skills that she has gotten over the years in the entertainment industry, luck would also play a factor in landing a success in Hollywood.“It’s just a question of papalarin ba na may dumating na project na bagay sa&#x27;kin. That they’re looking for someone like me kasi lahat tayo mga artista sa Pilpinas, napakarami naman ng magagaling.
