<p>Several content creators were in Cebu when the 6.9 magnitude earthquake happened in Cebu earlier this week. She recalled how she was about to shower when Marj came shouting for her to get out of the bathroom. </p><div><br/></div><p>“I was like anong nangyari? Nalooban ba tayo, when I came out–– girl worse, [it was an] earthquake. It was so strong and it took so long. I remember we went first to a poste but then it wasn’t giving so we went under whatever table we could find and we were just clinging on to each other for dear life,” Belle shared.</p><div><br/></div><p>After the earthquake, they immediately ran out of their room and went down 24 flights of stairs–– bringing only their phones and nothing else.</p><div><br/></div><p>“Yung nag stop na, finally, which took forever. We ran out, looked for the emergency exit, and sprinted down 24 floors. Girl, this is what you’ve been training for. In my head I was like sh*t parang time ko na ba mamatay? I hated that I just kept on waiting for the ceiling to fall on us, for the building to collapse for us to be crushed–– yun yung nafefeel ko,” Marj admitted.</p><div><br/></div><p>Despite this, the team that brought them to Cebu were quick to evacuate them and bring them to another hotel where they spent the night. Marj then showed a glimpse of their hotel room the morning after the calamity struck–– water bottles, lamps, and windows were broken due to the strong earthquake. </p><div><br/></div><p>The death toll from the 6.9 magnitude earthquake has reached more than 60 as of this writing and hundreds were reported to be injured according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. </p>
