Jona reflects on 20 years in showbiz: 'I’m content, but I still have more dreams to fulfill'

<p>Kapamilya singer Jona looked back on her two-decade journey in the music industry, sharing that while she is grateful and content with what she has achieved, she still has many dreams she hopes to fulfill.</p><p>&quot;Masayang masaya ako na nakaabot ng 20 years and I am very content talaga. Siyempre may mga dreams and goals pa naman na sana mas maka-release pa ako ng mas maraming original music, and maka-collaborate sa mga magagaling na Filipino artists and hopefully mga international arists na rin,&quot; she said in an interview with MJ Felipe on TFC&#x27;s <em>Are You G?</em></p><p>The singer also expressed her hope to continue working steadily while inspiring the next generation of artists.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yung nilo-look forward ko sa 20 more years, gusto ko na maging steady lang, to be an inspriation pa rin especially sa mga young talents na hindi madali &#x27;tong journey na &#x27;to pero sana huwag silang susuko sa pangarap nila. The moment na malapit ka ng sumuko, next step &#x27;yun na pala &#x27;yung inaasam-asam mong goal so huwag kang gi-give up. S1 | October 8, 2025 | EP 68" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></a></div><div></div><p>When asked about her proudest moment in her career, Jona admitted that reaching her 20th year itself was something she never expected.</p><p>&quot;Hindi ko po talaga inaasahan na aabot ako ng twenty years kasi nga nung pandemic sabi ko talaga ayaw ko na mag-showbiz, pagod na ako sa sobrang pressure. I wanna do something different naman. Sabi ko dun na lang ako titira sa bundok, magtatanim na lang ako ng mga gulay, ganun. Ibang-iba kasi &#x27;yung simple life compared sa glitz and glamor ng show business, behind the scenes ng show business grabe &#x27;yung pressure, di ba? Doon kasi sa [Rizal], napaka-simple ng life at nandun din &#x27;yung animal rescue namin,&quot; she relayed.</p><p>Jona also admitted that the pressure has become more intense as the industry continues to evolve. </p><p>&quot;Feeling ko parang domoble &#x27;yung pressure compared to nung nagsisiumula pa lang tayo sa industry, at nakaka-five years or ten  years. Iba ngayon as we mature. Siyempre we can&#x27;t deny na nag-i-age na rin tayo di ba, and marami na ring mga young talents ang pumapasok, ang mga nadi-discover so nandun talaga &#x27;yung pressure to really keep up and parang tuwing lalabas ka to always give your best talaga, para maka-build ka ng reputation na [reliable ka],&quot; she stated.</p><div></div>
