Dasuri Choi shares her secrets to looking young at 37 years old

<p>South Korean dancer, host, and content creator Dasuri Choi has always looked effortlessly fresh on screen — but who would believe that she’s already 37 years old?  The TikTok content creator has been in the showbiz industry for more than a decade, yet she continues to showcase that same fresh, youthful energy that first captured Filipino hearts.</p><div><br/></div><p>Born in April 1988, she doesn’t look like a day over 25. And now, she’s finally sharing a peek into the beauty secrets and lifestyle habits that help her maintain that youthful glow. Dasuri shared that her secret stays true to her Korean roots – face cleansing, moisturizing, and a healthy diet.  </p><div><br/></div><div><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust:100%">“Well, before you sleep, you [should] wash your face. And actually, maarte po ako sa pagkain. Napansin ko kahit malinis ka lagi, kahit maghugas ka ng face palagi, it [still] depends on your food. What you take will really react to your skin,” she shared in a recent interview with PUSH ABS-CBN at the launch of Aegyo Beauty. </span></div><div><br/></div><p>Dasuri also revealed that she steers clear from foods rich in gluten, like pasta, bread, cakes, cookies, crackers, and cereals – making her meticulously choose the foods that she eats. “Actually, sensitive rin po talaga ako sa gluten. Iniiwasan ko po yung mga pasta. Although kanina kumain ako ng pasta, pero once in a while lang. I [also] drink a lot of water.”</p><div><br/></div><p>“And a lot of beer,” she jokingly teased, referring to the Korean staple of drinking beer.</p><div><br/></div><p>Dasuri even shared that it is only on her recent trip that she found out what her skin type is.“Actually, napansin ko nung nasa Europe ako – kasi dito sa Pinas humid – pero nung nasa Europe po ako, dry skin pala ako,” she said. “So, after I wash my face, naglalagay ako agad ng mist. Yung may oil. Kasi once your skin is dry, magc-clog yung pores dahil sa dead skin. One of her signature style secrets? Keeping bangs. She believes that bangs frame her face and give her that youthful, playful vibe that complements her glowing skin. “I make sure na I have side bangs or kahit anong bangs.”</p><div><br/></div><p>She also keep it healthy and shiny by conditioning and getting monthly salon treatments to nourish her hair. “[I condition my hair] depende sa ‘tamad’ ko. Pero every other day naman I do it. Then I make sure na every month nagpapa-treatment ako sa hair ko. Kasi if I put, sabi ng mga Korean friends ko, &#x27;mukha kang Avatar.&#x27; Baka mali rin ‘yung pag-apply ko.  Pero kasi feeling ko parang hindi ko naman kailangan kasi may nose naman ako. &#x27;ýun yung nasa utak ko.”  </p><div><br/></div><p>But over time, she’s fully learned how to highlight her best features, adjusting to what looks good on screen. “I do contour now. Since nasa Pinas ako, pag nasa TV show, ‘yung lighting nila [is for] Filipino skin which is morena. Pag nandoon ako, mukha akong tofu. So naglalagay ako ng contour para at least may nose ako. Kasi pag wala akong contour sa nose and cheeks, mukha akong plain.”</p><div><br/></div><p>Aside from countouring her face, Dasuri opened that lip and cheek tints are her go-to make-up products. “Actually, I love lip and cheek tint because I have fair skin. So, if I go out, okay lang kahit walang skin make-up, walang kilay, walang eyeliner, but I need lip color. I need cheek color. So kailangan kahit sa harap ng bahay na lalabas ako, medyo may slight make-up ako.”</p><div><br/></div><p>Despite her flawless look, Dasuri maintained that she had learned not to feel pressured in always trying to look her best. At the end of the day, what truly matters is how she feels about herself.  “Pero ngayon kasi napansin ko, I think no one cares naman. Ikaw lang &#x27;ýun e, problem mo &#x27;ýun e – kasi feeling mo everyone’s looking at you.
