The outlet noted that he was known online as “Black Cat,” a “big-spending VIP” who made large donations on live video platforms.</p><p>However, the investigation revealed that Choi’s image was fabricated. In reality, he was reportedly burdened with massive debt, and his house had been seized through a forced auction on the day of the incident.</p><p>According to the same report, Yoon was allegedly planning to end their partnership due to exhaustion from Choi’s coercive behavior and unreasonable demands. Choi allegedly assaulted and strangled her before placing her body in a vehicle and driving along the west coast. He later abandoned her remains in a grassy field on a mountain in Muju County, North Jeolla Province, where her body was discovered two days later.</p><p>According to <em>The Chosun Daily, </em>Choi made eight separate stops during the drive to mislead investigators, but he was arrested just 12 hours after the body was found. On September 20, her family confirmed her tragic passing through a heartfelt post on her TikTok account.</p><p>“Our precious Jia has left this world, and our hearts are broken beyond repair. She was a gentle sunrise, warming the coldest mornings. She was laughter carried on the wind, and the quiet comfort in a crowded room. Jia loved bread, reached out to every soul she met, cherished her family, and filled even ordinary moments with light,” said in the post.</p><p>“Now, the world feels a little dimmer without her radiant smile. Yet in every shared memory, in every echo of her kindness, her light still glows.”</p><p>Her family also requested that fans honor her memory with kindness and compassion, saying: “To everyone who loved Jia, thank you for holding her in your hearts. As you remember her, please send your warmest wishes for her peace and joy in a place free from pain. Though Jia walks no longer beside us, her love and laughter will bloom forever within our hearts—like flowers that never fade. She will always be near, just as she dreamed.
