Sassa Gurl reveals the secret behind her “drunk blush” makeup look:  'Makeup is just having fun!’

<p>As she continues to grow in popularity, content creator and model has also started doing more acting and has even started producing films in the industry. This year, she is part of two Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries: <em>Shake, Rattle, &amp; Roll: Evil Origins</em>, and <em>Bar Boys</em>. During the Colourette Cafe anniversary event, she shared how her makeup style has changed from when she first started. </p><p>“Siyempre nung content ko ginagawa ko, eme eme pa lang, medyo playtime playtime lang. Pero nung naging content creator ako, napauso ko yung parang blush. Yung drunk blush ‘day. Sobrang blush blindness, ganun. Kasi eme eme lang din ako mag-makeup. Tapos ang nakakaloka dun, kahit eme eme lang siya, napauso siya ng malala. Kasi maraming mga nakshie ko na ganun din pala maglagay ng blush on. Kasi ganun naman talaga ako maglagay ng blush on nung high school ako kasi pag hihiram ka ng lip tint dapat itotodo mo na di ba? So hanggang pang-uwian na. So ayun, nagsimula yun kasi siyempre wala din ako masyado pambili ng mga makeup, ganyan, kaya todo ako humiram. Tapos nagamit ko din siya sa pagiging content creator ko kasi maraming nakaka-relate,” she explained. </p><p>While her makeup game has leveled up, she chooses to retain what has become her signature look. </p><p>“So ngayon naman, siyempre mas professional na yung makeup na ginagamit ko and of course, siyempre yung mga nag-me-makeup sa akin, talagang professional na din yung pagkakalagay. Personally, ang ginagamit ko yung powder. Kasi mas pasabog yung kapit nun. Pero yun nga, ever since naman hindi ako nagsimula na talagang high end yung makeup na ginagamit ko di ba? Kasi tulad nga ng ginawa ko sa drunk blush, it’s just (about) having fun. Alam mo yun? Nag-have fun lang ako sa pag-apply nun sa mukha ko hanggang sa nagkaroon ako ng signature. Yung mga matte tint. Velvet tint actually. Sobrang havey na havey sa akin yung mga kulay at yung mga shades sa akin. Happing happy ako sa ni-release nila ngayon na velvet tints kasi mahilig talaga ako sa lip products. Yung Spring Bloom ngayon ng Velvet tint laban na laban yun sa pips ko ngayon. At siyempre yung OG talaga na color tint, yung Tara, yun yung lagi kong ginagamit sa aking cheeks so happing happy ako dun,” she added. </p><p>Her growing legion of fans also includes the presence of critics and bashers, which Sassa is not bothered by. “Ang lagi kong iniisip, once you know your identity, talagang secure ka sa sarili mo. At yun ang una kong nabuo sa aking journey, yung identity ko. Talagang inalam ko muna kung sino talaga si Sassa Gurl. At kung saan nanggagaling yung mga hugot ko, ano ang mga gusto ko ipakita sa mga nakshie ko, ano values na gusto kong i-share. nung nabuo ko yun at na-embrace ko yun, na-empower niya ako na parang kahit anong bash ang sabihin sa akin, secure ako sa sarili ko at secure ako sa sarili kong identity. So yun ang mahalagang binibigay ko sa mga nakshie ko, buohin niyo muna yung identity niyo. Kasi superpower kasi yan eh,” she explained. </p>
