Valeen Montenegro welcomes first child after 28 hours of labor

<p>Actress-comedienne Valeen Montenegro and her husband, cinematographer Riel Manuel, are now parents to a baby boy.  </p><p>The couple shared the happy news on Sunday, November 16, just a week after the delivery. In the post&#x27;s caption, Riel shared that their son was born at 6:47 p.m. on November 11.</p><p>The joint Instagram post by Riel, included black-and-white photos capturing the emotional hours leading up to the birth, Valeen in the delivery room, him by her side, and the newborn’s successful delivery.  </p><p>Alongside the images, Riel reflected on their first days as a family of three. “This was so new to us. It’s been an exhausting week, but also the most beautiful one yet. My heart has never been fuller,” he wrote.</p><p>He also paid tribute to Valeen, describing her strength throughout the 28-hour labor. “Watching my wife go through 28 hours of labor showed me what real strength looks like. She’s my hero. I can&#x27;t wait to meet him in person. 🥹💙🫂” said independent artist Bianca Varela expressing her excitement.  </p><p>One of Valeen’s close friends, Dasuri Choi, also shared a photo on Instagram Stories holding the newborn’s little foot, writing, “Annyeong, Korean ninang-iya. 🤍”</p><p>Valeen and Riel first revealed they were expecting last June, just after the actress celebrated her 35th birthday. Riel posted a birthday tribute featuring photos of Valeen cradling her baby bump during a trip to Los Angeles, while Valeen kept her announcement simple with the caption, “Been keeping a little secret,” paired with baby-themed emojis.
