Ogie Alcasid shares marriage advice to daughter Leila and husband Curtismith after their second wedding

<p>Kapamilya singer-songwriter Leila Alcasid and singer-rapper Curtismith, whose real name is Mito Fabie, celebrated their love once more as they exchanged vows for the second time, now in the Philippines, in a ceremony held at a museum in Antipolo, Rizal. The wedding held special meaning for the couple as it allowed them to be surrounded by friends and loved ones back home, following their first wedding in Australia last May. </p><div> </div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/5/29/leila-alcasid-curtismith-are-now-married-1653"><strong>READ: Leila Alcasid, Curtismith are now married</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Following the ceremony, OPM icon Ogie Alcasid took to Instagram on December 16 to share a father’s message for his daughter and son-in-law. In his post, Ogie offered advice meant to guide the newlyweds as they begin married life together.  </p><div> </div><p>“Mito and Leila, i have a few messages here for you that comes from my heart. </p><p>Do not be afraid….,” Ogie began.  </p><div> </div><p>Listing a total of 7 items, he encouraged the couple to embrace both success and setbacks, reminded them of the importance of standing by each other through life’s challenges, and underscored the value of commitment and forgiveness in marriage. </p><div> </div><p>“To make mistakes as a couple, as parents when you make your decisions—we learn in life after making the mistakes. </p><p>&quot;To fail or to lose—this is how you win in life </p><p>&quot;Of What life may bring you—you have each other as perfect partners to weather any storm. </p><p>&quot;If circumstances seem insurmountable—- march on. Life is really about peaks and valleys and this is what makes life exciting. </p><p>&quot;To keep fighting for your love for one another most especially during the times that you can&#x27;t stand each other—it is all worth it. </p><p>&quot;To forgive one another and to ask for forgiveness. Pagmamahalang walang patid. Kami ay nagbubunyi. They also share a younger daughter, Sarah. By God&#x27;s grace, we&#x27;re the best of friends. Her husband is my kumpare,” he said. </p><div> </div><p>“It can work out and you have to let past wounds be healed and no grudges. Napakaiksi lang ng buhay kasi,” he added. </p><div> </div><p>He also shared that both families make an effort to spend time together during meaningful occasions. “Kaming apat I think subconsciously or unconsciously, talagang kina-career namin na magkita-kita kami &#x27;pag Pasko,” Ogie said.  </p>
