Chito Miranda loses voice during a gig: ‘Sabi ko ‘di ko na kaya’

<p>As part of one of the most enduring bands in the Philippine music scene with a career that has spanned more than 30 years, the popularity of local rock band Parokya ni Edgar has never waned, as seen by the band’s constant engagements in and outside the country. More than 2hrs yata ‘yung set namin, tapos biglang nag-jam pa si Jay at Bords ng KMKZ. Sabi nya, ‘Ok lang ‘yan, Chits...di naman tayo sikat dahil magaling tayo eh. Sikat tayo kasi masaya lang tayo’ sabay tawa,” he shared. “Ayun, kumanta nalang ako ulit na walang paki, and just enjoyed the last few songs hangga&#x27;t matapos yung set.🤟🏼😊 Minsan may sense din ka-usap ‘yung ungas na yun eh.”</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2020/2/4/fresh-scoops/look-parokya-ni-edgar-kamikazee-team-up-anew-on-14163" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>LOOK: Parokya Ni Edgar, Kamikazee team up anew on new song</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Both successful vocalists in their own right, Chito and Jay’s friendship has spanned decades, with both OPM artists sharing the stage on several occasions. The two also used to live in the same neighborhood. Their bands have also previously collaborated on Parokya’s song “The Ordertaker” in their <em>Halina Sa Parokya</em> album released in 2005. A live version of the single was also included in Parokya Ni Edgar&#x27;s 2012 <em>Inuman Sessions, Vol. 2</em> album. In 2020, they also collaborated on a cover of the APO Hiking Society classic ”American Junk”. </p>
