She wrote, “Halos isang dekada na akong nasa industriya. Acting, hosting, modeling – napasok ko at inaral ko po lahat sa dahilang di ko pa alam kung ano yung gusto kong tatahakin. Habang lumilipas ang panahon, marami po akong na-experience, marami rin akong goals na nakamit—pero parang feeling ko nun may kulang pa rin.”In 2021, Maymay ventured into singing, releasing three albums, with her last album MPOWERED containing one of her most popular songs “Amakabogera.” In her post, Maymay admitted the song ignited something in her. She released the English version of it last September 2024.“I’ve done music po before but it all changed when I released &#x27;Amakabogera.&#x27; I was empowered. I felt strong. Bigla kong naramdamang umaapaw ang passion ko po. I felt happy everytime I learned something about music. That was the moment I decided to pursue it seriously,” she added.Fans will be happy to know that Maymay is working on releasing new tracks this year as well as finally starting her own broadcast channel which will allow her to connect closer to her fan base.“More than a year na po ako nagpre-prepare for a certain project. May bagong music po akong lalabas very soon – music that reflects lahat po ng pinagdaanan ko at lahat ng laman ng aking puso. I’ve reached another turning point in my career. I want to remake myself, I want to be reborn. And with that, let me re-introduce myself po. I am Maymay and sana masamahan niyo po ako sa aking journey of discovery and sharing my inner world with you through my music. In the meantime, join my Broadcast Channel where I will share more about my life and my music!”Before ending her post, Maymay made sure to thank her kapamilya network for giving her all the support she needed to achieve her goals all these years.“Isa din sa pinapasalamatan ko ay ang Star Music, Star Pop, Star Magic, Maymaylove Fanmily kasi isa sila sa malaking parte po sa empowerment na naramdaman ko dahil naniwala po talaga sila sa&#x27;kin at sa potential na meron ako. At dahil doon, naniwala na rin ako sa sarili ko,” she wrote.As one of the country’s most well-loved stars, Maymay had shared in her international magazine interview how she feels about her continued popularity and handling the pressures that come with international recognition.“One of my dreams is to find what I love to do because I believe we are going to start to enjoy what we do if we find the things we love. And to be able to find that, you must never stop learning, trying and finding what you love to pursue and be passionate about. I don’t want to put that in my head but anyways, regardless of what’s going to happen if I will be more known internationally then I will stick to what I believe in and that is, I don’t have the right to boast about anything that I am going to achieve because at the end of the day, everything is temporary, everything is going to end so instead of me focusing on the fame, I focus on my purpose and that is to spread kindness, love, happiness and positivity,” Maymay explained.
