Rica Peralejo celebrates 44th birthday by bike commuting

<p>Unlike some celebrities who choose to celebrate their birthdays with a big party or major fanfare, actress and vlogger Rica Peralejo opted for a more laidback kind of day to commemorate her 44th birthday last March 7. She spent the whole day bike commuting with her husband Joseph Bonifacio and their two sons Philip and Manu. But thank You God for the gift of life. Thank You for my existence. Thank You for health and love. ❤️ Thank you to my hubby (also his bday!) and sons pala na game na game naman po sila sa mga kalokohan ko 😂”</p><div><br/></div><p>In the reel, Rica can be seen starting off her day with a simple jog followed by her preparing to enjoy a matcha drink before getting on a bike with her family to head the north to buy accessories for their bikes. “We are biking to the north to get some essentials to make bike commuting life more feasible,” she shared.</p><div><br/></div><p>At the bike shop in Quezon City, Rica bought accessories like a U-lock and straps for hauling stuff in a ride that took them one hour and 19 minutes with a distance of 18.18 kilometers. She wrote, “Tomorrow both of us turn a year older. (Yes, we share the same bday. Haha!) And wow the coincidence in that just the past few weeks, we’ve made a lot of bike rides and medical visits together. I guess this is what it means to grow old together, yeah? We go to therapy for recovery and mending from injuries, we go to the dentist for more and more of our unnecessary teeth removed and misalignment fixed, and I am escorted to my favorite functional doctor for hormonal health, then we gym and bike commute together! Grabe hindi ko to lahat naimagine bago magpakasal and yet ito yung vow na in sickness and in health. 😭</p><p>&quot;You know, as important as it is to grow old with someone you love and someone who loves you, is the kind of professionals who are committed to help you both lengthen and strengthen your days! She wrote, ”A friend told me, &#x27;Maybe you need to do something that you don’t monetize.&#x27; Ok, FELT.  February ended with a big blow… but also a good one. It made me stop and reflect on what the year started whispering to me. Since 2025 started I made a conscious effort to not stress myself about making content to earn from so I am back to just making &#x27;home videos&#x27; from myself and my loved ones.&quot;</p><div><br/></div><p>Rica first got into showbiz as a teen as part of the second season of the iconic ABS-CBN teen variety show <em>Ang TV</em> in 1993. This was followed by her stint in other popular shows on the kapamilya network like<em> Gimik, Okatokat, Palibhasa Lalake, Oki Doki Doc,</em> and <em>OK Fine Whatever</em>. She even had her own mini-drama anthology in  Star Drama Presents: Rica in 1997. She also pursued a music career which produced two solo albums in 1995. She married Every Nation Church pastor Joseph Bonifacio in 2010. </p>
