Julia Montes shares Holy Week plans

<p>Kapamilya actress Julia Montes shared insights into her Lenten practices and reflections as the Holy Week approaches. Before kasi, parang before ako lumabas, kapag feeling ko malaki ako, feeling ko hindi ko gusto ‘yung eyes ko, hindi na ako nakakatayo ng maayos. Ngayon, at least, ang iniisip ko na lang, nahihiya na lang ako,” she said.</p><div> </div><p>Saying that she’s just enjoying every moment, Julia added, “Mindset din talaga. And siguro, I&#x27;m really happy din naman po with everything na nangyayari sa life ngayon kaya siguro nag-ra-radiate rin ng happiness.”  </p><div> </div><p>Speaking of, Julia expressed her elation over the success of her series <em>Saving Grace</em>, which, after a strong run on Prime Video, is now airing on free TV.</p><div> </div><p>“I&#x27;m super happy and super overwhelmed, actually. Kasi I never imagined na after nung ‘Prime’ release namin, it will be okay din. And okay yung reception sa tao ng online. So, ang sarap sa pakiramdam. And siyempre, ngayon, iba rin. Iba rin yung mga nakakapanood. Mas mahabang version na ito dahil mas buo.</p><div> </div><p>“So, mas happy ako kasi yung message naman po talaga ng <em>Saving Grace</em> is really important. Siguro, it&#x27;s about time that we tackle things like that na sometimes, child abuse is really real. And sana mas maging open tayo mga Filipinos na ang family is love naman talaga. But sometimes, what if ‘yung family ‘yung nag-cacause ng ganun scenario sa bata? Baka, we can be more open para mas marami pa tayo na matulungan na Grace if we encounter Grace or if may kakilala man tayong Grace. Maging teacher Anna tayo na willing to do anything para dun sa bata,” she said.</p><div> </div><p>Meanwhile, in a previous interview with Julia, she talked about how much of a devoted Catholic she is. Normally, siyempre we know na yung iba mag va-vacation but kami, it’s more of reflection, bonding rin sa bahay kasi minsan yung lang ‘yung oppurtunity namin na talagang walang work. Talagang makakapag bawi kami sa bawat isa sa family namin. And siyempre may mga kailangan i-sacrifice so, we’re trying to do ‘yung… mga i-sa-sacrifice namin in terms of food. Just to say thank you with every blessing na pumasok.”</p><div> </div><p>When asked about her Lenten sacrifices, she talked about abstaining from her usual favorites. “Yung fasting, parang magkasala ako agad,” she lightheartedly said. “Pero ang tini-try ko kasi na nahihirapan din talaga ako ay to remove sugar and rice. Tapos ta-try ko rin mag walang meats. Hopefully, magawa ko talaga kasi I really want to do it.”</p><div> </div><p>She also shared that her family is considering doing Visita Iglesia this year, though they are still finalizing their plans. “Ngayon gusto namin mag-Visita Iglesia. Pero hopefully, mabuo namin. Kasi siyempre, si lola, medyo nahihirapan na rin, so kino-consider din namin yun. And na-wo-worry kami this time nga kung kami naman matutuloy tapos siya maiiwan. So hindi pa namin na-fa-finalize kung ano mga dapat gawin. Pero normally, we do [attend] Mass, so kung saan na lang kami magkakaroon ng opportunity.”</p><div> </div><p>Julia also reflected on the miracles she has encountered in her life. “Ako, personally, maraming beses e. Siguro walang specific moment na talagang narealize ko na eto na yun, grabe life-changing. Every moment na nangyari sa buhay ko lagi ko narerealize na sobra kong blessed kasi minsan akala ko di na kaya or talo na. ‘Yung wala na talaga, sagad na sagad na. Tapos biglang may blessing. Tapos ang ineexpect ko ‘yung malagpasan lang ‘tong isang problem na ‘to pero sobra sobra ‘yung dumating. And siguro may family member kami nagkaroon ng cancer; cancer-free na siya ngayon. So, isa ‘yun sa mga parang masasabi kong mag-dasal ka lang at maniwala ka lang, God will really heal you,” she narrated.  </p><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
