EXCLUSIVE: Robbie Jaworski on pursuing acting: ‘I can enjoy it. And if I can enjoy it, I can continue’

Newest MYX VJ Robbie Jaworski has hit the ground running, with him attending to various projects already since he signed on with ABS-CBN early this year. Despite his busy schedule, Robbie is also taking steps toward pursuing acting, with an upcoming project under ABS-CBN&#x27;s entertainment unit, Dreamscape.The future leading man revealed that while he’s always been drawn to hosting, acting wasn’t something he initially considered.&quot;Game na game ako sa hosting. ‘Yung sa acting naman, medyo alanganin nung una dahil wala talaga akong experience. Maski papaano ‘yung hosting, you know. I have experience hosting a family party or hosting a small short program. So, medyo kabisado ko na ‘yun to a certain extent. ‘Yung acting, wala talaga akong alam,” Robbie admitted.Through the workshops, he discovered a new appreciation for acting and learned to enjoy it.&quot;Masaya ako nung nag-a-act ako, nag-workshop ako. So, sinabi ko sa kanila (my handlers), baka pwede din tayo mag-training or baka pwede din natin magpatuloy ng training sa acting kasi, at the end of the day, gusto ko sana mas diverse ‘yung pwede kong gawin as a Star Magic artist. So, I&#x27;d like to host, I&#x27;d like to act,” he explained.But there was one specific moment that made Robbie love the art of acting even more.&quot;Okay, so, may isang linggo, actually. Sabihin naman na isang buong buwan, kung saan ako medyo na-stressed ako sa day job ko. Tapos, sabihin na lang natin, sobrang bad mood ako noon. And I had a workshop. And mabigat ‘yung eksena. And nung nakita na mabigat yung eksena, sinabi ko (sa sarili ko) mabigat na nga pakiramdam, gagawin ko pa to? So ginawa ko. Surprisingly enough, I was able to execute it well,&quot; he shared.It was in that workshop that Robbie allowed himself to fully express his emotions. He found it to be cathartic somehow. &quot;At pagkatapos ko, inilabas ‘yung kailangan ko ilabas (na emosyon) para sa eksena na ‘yun sa practice. Pagkatapos ng workshop, parang ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko. And nawala lahat ng bigat sa isip ko or ‘yung mga naisip kong nakaka-stressed sa trabaho,” the MYX VJ recalled.Robbie also shared how he came to realize that acting is something he could pursue for the long haul.“So I thought, I mean, I know it can all, the acting itself can be stressful and it&#x27;s challenging. Pero that alone showed me na I can enjoy it. And if I can enjoy it, I can continue,&quot; Robbie shared.With all these new opportunities on his plate, Robbie hopes to succeed in both hosting and acting, working hard to make the most of both paths.“Gusto ko sana ng kombinasyon (ng acting at hosting) kasi napapansin ko ngayon na maliban sa hosting, I also enjoy acting.
