<p>MANILA -- Actor Ian de Leon described his mother, screen veteran Nora Aunor, as the &quot;heart&quot; of their family.</p><p>Aunor, dubbed as the Philippine entertainment industry&#x27;s Superstar, passed away on Wednesday, April 16. She was 71.</p><p>On Facebook, De Leon paid tribute to his mother as he publicly announced the death of the film icon. </p><p>&quot;She was the heart of our family—a source of unconditional love, strength, and warmth.
