<p>BINI member Mikha Lim responded after receiving criticism from a netizen for frequently speaking in English. The comment came after a netizen noted her fluency in Filipino and alleged that she was pretending not to be comfortable with the Tagalog language.</p><p>In a reply to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Mikha took the opportunity to clear things up and address the comment.</p><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1746072861647BINI-Mikha-responds-to-criticism-for-speaking-English;-urges-fans-to-spread-kindness-1.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>“Hi! Thank you for saying this, a good opportunity for me to clear things up! I’ve said before a couple of times and to people who ask me about it that I can speak fluent tagalog, but there are times in a script or in front of the camera I get a little bulol,” she wrote.</p><p>Mikha explained that she sometimes hesitates when choosing the right Tagalog words, which results in her speaking directly in English on camera.  “I overthink the Tagalog words I should use. that’s why I end up choosing to speak in straight English most of the time in front of the camera.
