<p>Kiray Celis opened up why she requested for a ₱1 million engagement ring from longtime partner Stephan Estopia.</p><p>In an interview with Julius Babao for his YouTube vlog, Kiray candidly shared that her specific request was one of the reasons it took time for Stephan to propose.</p><p>&quot;Kaya rin di matuluy-tuloy &#x27;yung pagyaya niya sa akin kasi sabi ko ang minimum ko ng singsing, isang milyon,&quot; she revealed.</p><p>Asked why she set such a high amount for a ring, the actress-entrepreneur explained: &quot;Kapag nagyaya ka magpakasal kailangan isang milyon ang minimum ng singsing kasi kapag nangangailangan tayo siyempre eh di ibenta ko &#x27;yung singsing.&quot;</p><p>She added: &quot;Pero totoo di ba o pag wala tayong makain, eh di itong singsing. Hindi naman sa ibe-benta ko pero parang in case of emergency kumbaga kung anong mangyari.&quot;</p><p>Kiray also emphasized her role as her family’s breadwinner, citing personal experiences that made her realize the importance of being financially prepared.</p><p>&quot;Two years ago nawalan ako ng sister-in-law  pero nung time na &#x27;yun kakabili ko lang ng sasakyan. Ang mahal pala bumili ng lupa pang patay. Ang mahal bumili na kabaong. Alam mo &#x27;yun parang dun ko na-realize na ang dami ko pa palang kailangan asikasuhin sa mga bagay na hindi ko hawak na mga pangyayari,&quot; she said.</p><p>Kiray went on: &quot;Siyempre as a breadwinner nag-iisip ako ng future siyempre kung ano mangyari, baka mangyari &#x27;to, na huwag naman sana &#x27;yung bad, pero kumbaga may backup. Siyempre trending ka kapag star-studded,&quot; she said. &quot;Pero iniisip ko na lang gusto ko ka-close ko lang talaga, &#x27;yung mga mahal ko lang talaga na kilala ako, kilala [si Stephan], para masarap lang hindi &#x27;yung kailangang may asikasuhin ka. Parang ano lang talaga, sobrang close, tropa-tropa lang talaga &#x27;yung nandun.&quot;</p>
