Ryan Bang shares what inspired him to open his own Korean restaurant in PH

<p>Ryan Bang opened up about his decision to venture into the food industry, now as the proud owner of a Korean restaurant called Paldo.</p><p>In an interview with<em>&nbsp;PUSH Bets</em>, the<em>&nbsp;It&#39;s Showtime</em> host shared the inspiration behind the name of his restaurant, saying, &quot;Paldo kasi ibig sabihin ng Paldo in Korea, walong provinces, walong different regions... So our food, mga ingredients galing sa eight different regions.&quot;</p><p>Ryan explained that with Paldo, he wanted to bring the authentic taste of Korean cuisine to the Philippines for his friends and fellow Filipinos.</p><p>&quot;[Naisip ko] bakit hindi na lang ako magtayo ng authentic na Korean restaurant para ma-experience ng mga kilala ko, &#39;yung mga kaibigan ko, tapos &#39;yung mga kilala sa akin na mga Pilipino para ma-try talaga nila authentic na lasa,&quot; he said.</p><p>He went on: &quot;&#39;Yung mga hindi na kailangan pumunta ng Korea pa kasi when you go to Korea mga ganitong restaurant, marami eh, &#39;yung mga authentic traditional food. So when you come here inside you will experience everything, hindi lang food kundi pati vision na makikita mo,&quot; he said.</p><p>Ryan opened the first branch of his restaurant in February 2024. Following the success of its first branch in Quezon City, Ryan recently opened a second Paldo branch in Ortigas, Pasig.</p><p>In a previous interview with PhilStar, the host shared how he was able to achieve his dream of venturing into the food industry.</p><p>&quot;Nag-iipon ako siyempre para sa future. Nag-ipon ako ng sampung taon. Siyempre hindi lang puro ako, naghanap po ako ng tao. Importante kasi tao po, &#39;yung paligid mo,&quot; he relayed. &quot;Nakahanap ako, mayroon akong friend na super magaling na chef na 25 years na siyang chef sa Korea. Mayroon din po akong business partners.&quot;</p>
