<p>Jackie Lou Blanco opened up how she has been coping with the heartbreaking losses of two important people in her life, her mother, Pilita Corrales, and her ex-husband, Ricky Davao.</p><p>&quot;By God&#x27;s grace, Boy. God&#x27;s love I take it a day at a time which is the same thing I tell my children. Let&#x27;s take it a day at a time. There will be a day that when we are okay, the next day we are not okay and it&#x27;s okay because there are no shortcuts to grief,&quot; she said in an interview with Boy Abunda.</p><p>The actress admitted that the grief has been especially difficult to process, having lost both her mother and former partner in such close succession.</p><p>&quot;But for me I think it was harder because my brain couldn&#x27;t process that I lost mom and then now I lost Ricky. It&#x27;s like there are days I am thinking of mom and crying for mom. I don&#x27;t think of the not so good times, I don&#x27;t think of anything else but what last pala talaga is love both for mom and Ricky.&quot;</p><p>She added that her grief for Ricky came with a different emotional weight, given their past separation. &quot;But I think I am experiencing that more with Ricky because with mom I didn&#x27;t have naman a separation of sorts but with Ricky I did although I am happy that we got to a point where things were better. But pala when there is death all you remember is love and love stays. It may be a different kind of love but it&#x27;s love that stays,&quot; she said.</p>
